The Opportunity:

This 2-week paid internship provides an immersive experience for individuals from diverse backgrounds, offering insight into teaching and school life at multiple City of London schools. It is designed to support inclusivity in education and welcomes those considering a career in teaching, regardless of prior experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Observe a range of lessons across different subjects and age groups
  • Participate in lesson planning and content development with experienced educators
  • Deliver lessons and receive detailed feedback from mentors
  • Engage in one-on-one mentoring sessions with Heads of Department
  • Build a professional relationship through a buddy system with current teachers
  • Participate in pastoral case study sessions and discussions
  • Explore co-curricular activities aligned with personal interests
  • Reflect on experiences and contribute to ongoing discussions about diversity in education

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Currently an undergraduate, postgraduate, or career-changer considering teaching
