The Opportunity:

As an IT Support Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of the school’s IT infrastructure. You will provide first and second line support to a wide range of users, including students, staff, and external partners. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support to staff, students, and other end-users across multiple school sites.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to users.
  • Maintain and support key systems including Microsoft 365, Teams, Active Directory, and Sophos Enterprise.
  • Collaborate with the IT team on various projects and initiatives to improve digital services.
  • Ensure the highest standards of customer service in all user interactions.
  • Document and escalate complex issues to the appropriate team members for resolution.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry best practices in IT support.
  • Support the integration of new systems and software across the school network.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in IT support, preferably within an educational or corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Teams, Active Directory, and Sophos Enterprise.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Outstanding communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with help desk systems and ticketing software.

Preferred

  • Experience in a multi-site or large-scale organization.
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure and security protocols.
  • Understanding of digital transformation initiatives in education.
  • Experience with cloud-based solutions and IT service management.
