The Opportunity:

As a Facilities Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the school’s facilities. You will oversee cleaning and security, manage maintenance, and support the well-being of students, staff, and visitors. This is a hands-on role that requires a team player with a strong work ethic and the ability to lead during busy periods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the cleaning and security contracts to ensure high standards are maintained.
• Coordinate general repairs and maintenance across the school site.
• Supervise school keepers, reception staff, and other support roles.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations for all pupils, staff, and visitors.
• Promote a positive and collaborative team culture, especially during periods of absence or high workload.
• Support the school’s operational teams by ensuring staff are familiar with cross-functional responsibilities.
• Ensure all facilities functions meet the school’s needs and standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Proven experience in facilities management or a related field.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Preferred

• Experience in a school or educational setting.
• Familiarity with building maintenance and repair processes.
• Experience with managing outsourced contracts.
• Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
