The Opportunity:

The IT Support Officer will ensure the smooth operation of the school’s IT systems, supporting both academic and administrative functions. This role is essential in maintaining a robust digital infrastructure that aligns with the school’s mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver responsive, professional first-line support for all users across the school.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues across a range of devices and systems.
  • Configure and maintain user accounts and permissions across the school’s Apple ecosystem.
  • Monitor and manage the IT helpdesk system to ensure high user satisfaction.
  • Support the stability and performance of the school’s wired and wireless networks.
  • Assist in implementing system updates, backups, and security protocols.
  • Provide frontline support for classroom technologies and digital learning platforms.
  • Support the deployment and troubleshooting of school-issued devices in the 1:1 programme.
  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all IT and AV equipment.
  • Document technical procedures and configurations to promote consistency and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, preferably within a school or educational institution.
  • Strong technical knowledge of hardware, software, networking, and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Google Workspace.

Preferred

  • Experience with managing IT systems in a Cambridge International Curriculum school environment.
  • Certifications such as Apple Certified Macintosh Technician (ACMT), Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP), CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, or ITIL Foundation.
  • Familiarity with local data protection and cybersecurity regulations.
