The Opportunity:
A school is seeking an IT Technician to provide essential technical support and help maintain a modern and secure IT environment. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, personable, and eager to contribute to the ongoing development of a school’s technology systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and resolve IT support requests from staff and students.
- Assist with the maintenance and deployment of hardware and software across the school.
- Support the operation of classroom and administrative technology.
- Collaborate with the Head of IT and external vendors to ensure system reliability and security.
- Contribute to IT improvement projects and the development of school systems.
- Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting for a wide range of devices and platforms.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current IT systems, including Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Apple devices.
- Ensure all IT systems are aligned with the school’s educational and operational goals.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with managing and supporting IT systems in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Apple devices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Preferred
- Experience with classroom technology and school management systems.
- Familiarity with IT project management and implementation.
- Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
- Experience with network infrastructure and security best practices.
