The Opportunity:

As an IT Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining and supporting the school's ICT systems, ensuring that technology enhances teaching, learning, and administration. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the day-to-day operations of the school's IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software across the school and Repton Prep.
  • Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting to staff and students.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of IT projects that enhance the use of technology in education and administration.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of ICT services across the school.
  • Monitor and maintain network security and data integrity.
  • Keep accurate records of IT assets and support requests.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in IT support.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant qualification in IT or equivalent experience.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • A keen interest in IT and a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Experience with hardware and software support in an educational setting.

Preferred

  • Experience with managing complex IT systems and networks.
  • Familiarity with educational software and learning platforms.
  • Experience with providing technical support in a school or similar environment.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary of £28,080 per annum.
