The Opportunity:
As an IT Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining and supporting the school's ICT systems, ensuring that technology enhances teaching, learning, and administration. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the day-to-day operations of the school's IT systems and infrastructure.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software across the school and Repton Prep.
- Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting to staff and students.
- Assist in the planning and execution of IT projects that enhance the use of technology in education and administration.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of ICT services across the school.
- Monitor and maintain network security and data integrity.
- Keep accurate records of IT assets and support requests.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in IT support.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A relevant qualification in IT or equivalent experience.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- A keen interest in IT and a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Experience with hardware and software support in an educational setting.
Preferred
- Experience with managing complex IT systems and networks.
- Familiarity with educational software and learning platforms.
- Experience with providing technical support in a school or similar environment.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary of £28,080 per annum.
- 25 days of annual leave, plus additional time off for Christmas Closedown and Bank Holidays.
