Summary:

Junior School Teacher KS2 – Part Time 0.8FTE (4 days per week) – Required from September 2026

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum for Key Stage 2 students
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and personal development
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and cross-curricular initiatives
  • Support the co-curriculum by participating in extracurricular activities and school events
  • Uphold the school’s values of diversity, inclusion, and safeguarding in all aspects of teaching and student interaction
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance
  • Work closely with parents and carers to support student learning and well-being

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience in teaching Key Stage 2
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to the school’s values, including diversity, inclusion, and safeguarding
  • Ability to work flexibly within a part-time role (0.8FTE)
  • Experience in creating and delivering engaging, student-centered lessons
  • A passion for education and a commitment to the well-being of students

Preferred

  • Experience in an independent or maintained school setting
  • Demonstrable success in motivating and inspiring young learners
  • Knowledge of innovative teaching methods and technologies
  • Experience with inclusive education and supporting students with diverse learning needs
  • Active involvement in the co-curriculum or extracurricular activities
