The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate Key Stage 1 Teacher to join our school on a part-time basis, delivering engaging lessons in line with the English National Curriculum. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners and contribute to a collaborative, values-driven team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Key Stage 1, excluding mathematics and science
  • Create a calm, purposeful, and inclusive learning environment
  • Support the transition from Reception to Key Stage 1 through collaboration with the early years team
  • Promote the holistic development of pupils, both academically and personally
  • Work closely with colleagues to uphold the school’s ethos and values
  • Plan and deliver lessons that are aligned with the curriculum and meet the needs of all learners
  • Contribute to staff culture through collaboration and a positive attitude
  • Support the school’s mission to nurture joyful, responsible, and courageous pupils

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong subject knowledge in early reading, writing, and the wider curriculum
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 1 or equivalent
  • Commitment to the school’s ethos and values
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills

Preferred

  • Experience working in a Catholic or values-based school
  • Experience with Reception provision or early years teaching
  • Passion for developing young learners and fostering a love of learning
  • Experience in a small school or independent school setting
