The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and inspiring Key Stage 2 Teacher to join our dedicated team. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners in a dynamic and supportive school setting. The position is initially fixed term for maternity cover, with potential for permanent employment as the school transitions to co-educational.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
  • Plan and assess pupil progress in line with the school’s academic standards.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies.
  • Support the personal and academic development of all pupils, including those with additional needs.
  • Participate in school events and contribute to the wider life of the school community.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of pupil progress and attainment.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all pupils at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Key Stage 2 education.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection, with willingness to undergo required checks.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in a co-educational setting or willingness to adapt to a co-educational environment.
  • Familiarity with the UK National Curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Experience with teaching a range of subjects within Key Stage 2.
  • Previous experience in a school with a strong focus on character development and academic excellence.
