Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Key Stage 2 lessons that meet curriculum standards.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.
  • Develop and implement individualized learning strategies to support all students, including those with additional needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver cross-curricular and enrichment activities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support learning outcomes.
  • Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress and school activities.
  • Stay up to date with educational best practices and incorporate innovative teaching methods into lesson planning.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Key Stage 2 education.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and teaching methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and supporting students with diverse learning needs.

Preferred

  • Experience with co-educational and single-sex teaching environments.
  • Familiarity with pastoral care and student support strategies.
  • Experience in preparing students for grammar school entrance exams.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Passion for creating a stimulating and engaging learning environment.
