Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging Art lessons across Key Stage 3, with the potential to teach across all key stages.
  • Encourage creativity, confidence, and artistic exploration in students of all abilities.
  • Implement innovative teaching strategies and contribute to the ongoing development of the Art department.
  • Support students in building strong foundational skills in drawing, colour theory, and art history.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide a well-rounded and progressive curriculum.
  • Assess and provide constructive feedback to students to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and mutual support.
  • Stay up to date with current trends and developments in Art education.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Art education.
  • Ability to teach Art to GCE A2 Level.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to raising standards and inspiring students.
  • Experience in developing and delivering creative and engaging lessons.

Preferred

  • Experience with Key Stage 3 and A-Level Art curriculum.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience in using digital tools and resources in Art education.
  • Passion for fostering creativity and student confidence.
  • Background in a school undergoing transformation or expansion.
