The Opportunity:
As a Senior Network Support Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining and supporting the school’s IT infrastructure across multiple sites. This is a vital position that ensures seamless technology use for staff and students, enabling learning and administrative success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the school’s network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Provide technical support to staff and students across both campuses, resolving hardware and software issues promptly.
- Collaborate with the Network Manager to implement and monitor IT systems and security protocols.
- Conduct regular system audits and updates to ensure compliance with industry standards and school policies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems, minimizing downtime and disruption.
- Document all IT processes, configurations, and incidents for reference and continuous improvement.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in network support to enhance service delivery.
- Support the rollout of new IT initiatives and training programs for staff and students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Level 3 Diploma (or equivalent) in IT or related field.
- Proven experience in a network support or IT environment.
- Strong knowledge of network hardware, software, and security systems.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Experience with managing IT infrastructure across multiple locations.
- Familiarity with cloud-based systems and remote support tools.
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards.
- Experience in educational or school environments.
