The Opportunity:
As a KS2 Class Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping young minds within a dynamic and inspiring school community. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality education in English, Maths, and other subjects, while supporting the pastoral and emotional development of students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and challenging lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student wellbeing and achievement.
- Develop and implement effective assessment strategies to monitor and support student progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the wider life of the school.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and the school community.
- Support the pastoral needs of students and contribute to the school’s community ethos.
- Work closely with the phase leader to ensure the success of the school’s educational vision.
- Stay up to date with developments in teaching practice and curriculum innovation.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a degree-level teaching qualification.
- Experience working within a Junior School setting (Nursery to Year 6), with a focus on Key Stage 2.
- Strong subject knowledge in English and Maths.
- Commitment to student wellbeing and pastoral care.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience in contributing to the wider life of a school.
- Experience with teaching English as a Second Language.
- Leadership or phase leadership experience.
- Experience with curriculum development or innovation.
