The Opportunity:

As a Late Stay Supervisor, you will be responsible for the care and supervision of pupils during the hours of 3.00pm to 6.00pm. This is a key role in ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and engagement of students during after-school hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of pupils during late stay hours.
  • Liaise with staff, parents, and carers to coordinate the collection of pupils.
  • Organise the escorting of pupils to various transport locations.
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil attendance and manage weekly reporting.
  • Administer First Aid as required and maintain a calm, purposeful atmosphere.
  • Support pupils with homework and organise activities for those who have completed their tasks.
  • Replenish resources and ensure health and safety procedures are up to date.
  • Supervise pupils in emergencies and escort them to other school sites if needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in working with children in a supervisory role.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to maintain a calm and positive environment.
  • Basic computer skills, particularly with Excel.
  • First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it.

Preferred

  • Experience in educational settings or child care.
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
  • Experience with administrative tasks and record-keeping.
  • Flexibility to work during after-school hours and term-time only.
