The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and inspirational Religious Education Teacher to join our department and make a meaningful impact on students’ lives. This role is ideal for an experienced teacher or an ECT with a strong desire to grow and develop. You will have the opportunity to deliver engaging lessons across all year groups and abilities, using innovative teaching methods and resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Religious Education lessons to students across all year groups and abilities.
  • Design and implement innovative schemes of work that engage and inspire students.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student wellbeing and spiritual development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and challenging curriculum.
  • Support the school’s mission by embedding gospel values into teaching and learning.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
  • Contribute to the pastoral care and guidance of students.
  • Maintain accurate records and assessments of student progress.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., QTS).
  • Experience in teaching Religious Education at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s mission and values.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and take initiative.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching students with a range of abilities and learning needs.
  • Experience in delivering lessons using a variety of teaching styles and mediums.
  • Experience with pastoral care and student support.
  • Familiarity with Catholic faith and values.
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovation.
