The Opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Maths Teacher to join a dynamic and successful department, inspiring students and contributing to a high-achieving learning environment. The role offers the potential for additional responsibilities as Head of KS3 Maths with a TLR for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons that engage and challenge students across all key stages.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that align with the school's ethos and curriculum goals.
  • Support students in achieving outstanding academic results, with a focus on A-level and Further Maths.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental performance and student outcomes.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extra-curricular activities and pastoral care.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to students, promoting a culture of excellence and integrity.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Maths education and integrate new teaching methods and technologies.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, planning, and professional development activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
  • Proven experience teaching Maths at Key Stage 3 and 4, with a strong track record of student achievement.
  • Ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons that foster a love of Maths.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
  • Commitment to the school's values of excellence, integrity, community, and kindness.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching A-level Maths and Further Maths.
  • Leadership experience or interest in taking on a leadership role within the department.
  • Experience in developing and leading extra-curricular Maths activities.
  • Experience with pastoral care and student support.
