A co-educational specialist school for students aged 7 to 16 with autism and/or ADHD. The school prioritises academic achievement, emotional wellbeing, and the development of essential life skills.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Maths Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4. This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with additional needs, while working in a supportive and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and imaginative Maths lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, preparing them for GCSEs.
  • Utilise innovative teaching methods to inspire and motivate students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular learning opportunities.
  • Track and report on student progress and attainment, contributing to internal and external reports.
  • Support the social and emotional development of students through tutor group responsibilities.
  • Participate in continuous professional development and training initiatives.
  • Contribute to the school’s culture of collaboration and innovation.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Maths to GCSE level.
  • Strong understanding of the KS3 and KS4 Maths curriculum.
  • Commitment to working with students with autism and/or ADHD.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in SEN or specialist education settings.
  • Knowledge of supporting students with additional needs.
  • Early Career Teacher (ECT) with a strong desire for professional growth.
  • Experience in developing and delivering cross-curricular lessons.
