Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and challenging maths lessons to KS3 students.
• Support the development of teaching and learning strategies across the department.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve departmental outcomes.
• Contribute to the development of the maths curriculum and assessment strategies.
• Promote a positive and inclusive classroom culture that encourages student engagement and achievement.
• Provide pastoral support to students where appropriate.
• Participate in staff meetings, planning sessions, and professional development activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with QTS and relevant teaching experience.
• Strong subject knowledge in mathematics.
• Experience of teaching KS3 maths.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to student well-being and inclusion.

Preferred

• Experience of leading or supporting a maths department.
• Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
• Familiarity with inclusive teaching practices.
• Experience with continuous professional development (CPD) and leadership in education.
