Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Science lessons to students aged 11-16 in line with curriculum requirements.
- Develop and implement engaging and innovative Science teaching strategies.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver shared curriculum content.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of Science departmental improvement plans.
- Support the school’s commitment to student well-being and pastoral care.
- Engage with the school’s extensive extra-curricular programme, including timetabled clubs.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant Science subject knowledge.
- Experience in teaching Science to 11-16 year olds.
- Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience with instructional coaching or CPD programmes.
- Experience in pastoral support or student well-being initiatives.
- Familiarity with the Catholic ethos and values of the school.
- Experience in extra-curricular or club leadership.
