Join a dynamic MFL faculty where over 40% of students continue studying French at GCSE level. As a Lead Teacher of Languages, you will play a pivotal role in shaping language education and inspiring students to achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality language teaching across key stages.
  • Support colleagues through mentoring and professional development opportunities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the faculty to enhance the curriculum and student outcomes.
  • Engage with parents and the wider community to promote language learning.
  • Lead by example, maintaining high standards of teaching and behavior.
  • Participate in whole-school initiatives and contribute to staff development programs.
  • Stay up to date with best practices in language education and share insights with the team.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge.
  • Experience in teaching languages at key stages 3 and 4.
  • Strong classroom management and leadership skills.
  • Commitment to student achievement and inclusive education.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or mentoring other teachers.
  • Familiarity with the Kinder Languages Hub resources.
  • Knowledge of teaching French at GCSE level.
  • Experience in curriculum development and assessment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
