The Opportunity:

We are seeking a visionary Headteacher to lead a successful Catholic school and drive continued excellence in education. The ideal candidate will be a practicing Catholic and passionate about fostering a culture of care and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a dedicated leadership team to ensure academic and pastoral excellence.
  • Develop and implement a strategic vision for the school’s continued growth and success.
  • Promote and uphold the Catholic ethos and values across all aspects of school life.
  • Ensure safeguarding is at the heart of all school operations and policies.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, professional development, and staff wellbeing.
  • Work closely with governors and the wider school community to enhance student outcomes.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning across the school.
  • Represent the school externally and engage with parents, local partners, and the wider community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience as a Headteacher or senior leader in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with a track record of driving school improvement.
  • A practicing Catholic with a deep understanding of and commitment to Catholic education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in safeguarding and child protection, with a commitment to maintaining high standards.

Preferred

  • Experience in a science college or similar setting.
  • Knowledge of curriculum development and delivery in a secondary school.
  • Experience in leading school improvement initiatives or Ofsted inspections.
  • Familiarity with the role of a school governor and partnership working.
