The Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated Learning Support Assistant to join our team and provide essential support to students in lessons, including 1:1 and small group work. This role is integral to helping students reach their full potential and is a key part of the school’s commitment to inclusive education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in lessons, ensuring they receive individualised and group-based assistance
  • Assist in the delivery of learning activities in a structured and engaging manner
  • Work closely with teachers to implement and support individual education plans
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage student participation and engagement
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with staff
  • Provide a safe and supportive environment for all students
  • Collaborate with other Learning Support Assistants and school staff to ensure consistency in support
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities as required

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Good standard of education with strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • IT literacy with the ability to use standard software
  • Experience working with young people or in a classroom setting
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a learning support role
  • Experience with special educational needs
  • Familiarity with inclusive teaching practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
