The Opportunity:

A Learning Support Assistant is needed to support students with additional SEND needs across all key stages. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on student outcomes and contribute to a passionate and proactive team dedicated to learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with additional SEND needs in both in-class and out-of-class settings.
  • Work closely with classroom teachers to provide targeted learning support and monitor student progress.
  • Assist in identifying and overcoming barriers to learning through tailored support strategies.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
  • Collaborate with the SEND department to ensure consistent and high-quality support for students.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with teaching staff and parents.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through involvement in school events and initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A commitment to supporting students with additional needs and helping them achieve their potential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Flexibility and a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Experience working in an educational setting, ideally with students with additional needs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school environment, particularly with students who have SEND needs.
  • Knowledge of inclusive education practices and strategies for supporting diverse learners.
  • Experience in a Multi-Academy Trust or similar educational organization.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to student welfare and academic success.
