The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to support students in their learning journey. This role is essential in helping students reach their full potential and plays a vital part in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with learning needs through individualized and group-based assistance.
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement learning strategies.
  • Assist in the preparation of resources and materials to aid student learning.
  • Monitor and record student progress and provide regular feedback to staff and parents.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and engagement.
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions to ensure continuous professional development.
  • Collaborate with the SENCo to ensure all students receive appropriate support and intervention.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and behavior.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • GCSE in English and Maths.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

  • Experience working with students with additional needs.
  • Knowledge of inclusive education practices.
  • Experience in a school or educational setting.
