The Opportunity:

A Learning Support Assistant is needed to provide essential support to students, working closely with teachers and external agencies. This role plays a key part in helping students reach their full potential through personalized learning and a safe, encouraging environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students in developing independence and learning skills.
• Facilitate communication between the school and external agencies for the child’s benefit.
• Create and implement individual learning plans with the guidance of the class teacher.
• Provide engaging and kinaesthetic learning activities tailored to the child’s needs.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and therapists to support student progress.
• Ensure the safety of students in the nursery and playground at all times.
• Maintain a secure environment by following safety procedures and protocols.
• Contribute to extracurricular activities and the overall life of the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Enhanced DBS and prohibition order clearance.
• Understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Completion of training in safeguarding, prevent duty, and personal welfare.

Preferred

• Experience in working with children with special educational needs.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience in creating and implementing individual learning plans.
