The Opportunity:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide essential support to a pupil in the Prep School, helping them to integrate fully into school life. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting students with their communication skills, self-esteem, and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils in developing communication skills and building confidence in the classroom.
  • Work under the guidance of the Head of Learning Enrichment to ensure the pupil’s full integration into school life.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students.
  • Assist in delivering learning activities and support individual learning needs.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Learning Enrichment team to ensure a consistent and effective approach to support.
  • Maintain high standards of behavior and academic performance in line with the school’s ethos.
  • Participate in school activities and events, supporting the wider school community.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and staff to ensure a strong home-school partnership.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in providing support to children in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow guidance from senior staff.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Flexibility to work term time and attend mandatory inset days.

Preferred

  • Experience in working with pupils with additional needs.
  • Knowledge of inclusive education practices.
  • Experience in a school or educational environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
