The Opportunity:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide essential support to a pupil in the Prep School, helping them to integrate fully into school life. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting students with their communication skills, self-esteem, and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils in developing communication skills and building confidence in the classroom.
- Work under the guidance of the Head of Learning Enrichment to ensure the pupil’s full integration into school life.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students.
- Assist in delivering learning activities and support individual learning needs.
- Collaborate with other members of the Learning Enrichment team to ensure a consistent and effective approach to support.
- Maintain high standards of behavior and academic performance in line with the school’s ethos.
- Participate in school activities and events, supporting the wider school community.
- Communicate regularly with parents and staff to ensure a strong home-school partnership.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in providing support to children in an educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow guidance from senior staff.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Flexibility to work term time and attend mandatory inset days.
Preferred
- Experience in working with pupils with additional needs.
- Knowledge of inclusive education practices.
- Experience in a school or educational environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
