The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join its Lower School team, supporting students in Years 3 and 4. This role offers a chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in Years 3 and 4 with individual and group learning needs.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to enhance student outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with pupils, parents, and colleagues to ensure a consistent approach to learning.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of learning activities tailored to student needs.
  • Maintain accurate records and report on student progress regularly.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
  • Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a learning support role, ideally within a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
  • Flexibility and willingness to support a wide range of learning needs.

Preferred

  • NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children in the Early Years or Lower School.
  • Familiarity with inclusive education practices.
  • Experience with curriculum planning and delivery.
