The Opportunity:
A Teacher of Music is sought to inspire and educate girls aged 2 to 18 in a vibrant and dynamic school setting. This role involves delivering creative and engaging lessons, contributing to co-curricular music activities, and supporting the planning and delivery of concerts and performances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging music lessons to students across the Prep and Senior School
- Contribute to the school’s co-curricular programme, including choirs, ensembles, and performances
- Support the planning and delivery of whole-school musical events and productions
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Music to ensure consistent and effective teaching
- Foster creativity, confidence, and musical excellence in students of all abilities
- Encourage student participation and development in all aspects of music
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Stay up to date with current trends and developments in music education
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant music education experience
- Strong subject knowledge in music
- Excellent classroom management and teaching skills
- Commitment to working in an all-girls environment
- Willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school
Preferred
- Experience in leading ensembles or choirs
- Experience with music technology and digital resources
- Experience with curriculum development and planning
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for music education and student development
