The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Pre Prep Teaching Assistant to join our successful and established team. This role is ideal for someone with a genuine passion for working with children and a solid understanding of an independent school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the teaching and learning of young children in the Pre Prep Department.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of engaging and interactive lessons.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor and support student progress and well-being.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to ensure a consistent approach to education.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
  • Participate in school events and activities that promote the school’s values and ethos.
  • Ensure the safe and orderly management of classroom and outdoor areas.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • At least an NVQ 3 qualification or equivalent.
  • A strong passion for working with children.
  • A good understanding of an independent school setting.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a school environment.
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of early years education and child development.
  • Flexibility and a willingness to work as part of a team.
