Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in their learning through individual or group sessions.
  • Assist in the planning, recording, and monitoring of students’ progress.
  • Contribute to the assessment and reporting of student achievement.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to deliver effective teaching strategies.
  • Provide care and support that meets the specific needs of students with Autism.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills.
  • Maintain a safe and positive learning environment for all students.
  • Undertake any additional duties as required to support the school’s mission.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with students with Autism or special educational needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of students and the school.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a special educational needs setting.
  • Experience with Educational Health & Care Plans.
  • Knowledge of autism-specific teaching strategies.
  • Experience with assessment and recording of student progress.
  • A relevant qualification in education or a related field.
