The Opportunity:

A Learning Support Teacher is needed to support neurodivergent students in a high-performing academic environment. This role combines specialist SEND expertise with meaningful impact on student confidence, independence and long-term success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored 1:1 and small-group learning support sessions to meet individual student needs.
  • Develop personalised strategies for study skills, executive functioning and exam preparation.
  • Work closely with teachers to ensure students can fully access the curriculum.
  • Manage pupil profiles and support exam access arrangements.
  • Monitor student progress and contribute to a culture of inclusion and neurodiversity.
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
  • Act as a Form Tutor where required and contribute to wider school life, including assemblies and enrichment activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Learning Support or SEND specialist with experience in an academic setting.
  • Good honours degree and a recognised SpLD qualification (Level 7 preferred, Level 5 minimum).
  • Confident understanding of evidence-based learning support and inclusive teaching strategies.
  • Experience working with pupils, parents and teaching staff.
  • Ability to create tailored support plans to help students achieve their full academic potential.

Preferred

  • Experience with neurodivergent students and executive functioning support.
  • Strong pastoral instincts and emotional intelligence.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to a collaborative and supportive school community.
