Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Physical Education lessons that inspire and challenge students of all abilities.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that promotes physical activity, teamwork, and lifelong healthy habits.
  • Support the school's commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the school.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the department.
  • Encourage student participation and achievement in sports and physical activities.
  • Maintain accurate records and assess student progress in line with school policies.
  • Promote the Catholic ethos and values within the school community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
  • Relevant teaching experience in Physical Education at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • A commitment to the Catholic ethos of the school.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to extracurricular sports activities.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Experience in working with students of diverse abilities and backgrounds.
  • Experience with CPD and professional development.
