The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Teacher of Religious Education to join our outstanding RE team. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student achievement and to contribute to a school with a proven track record of success and high academic standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality RE lessons that engage students and promote critical thinking.
  • Support the school’s Catholic ethos and values within the curriculum.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Monitor and assess student progress in line with school targets and standards.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, planning, and CPD sessions.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and pastoral support.
  • Ensure the use of outstanding teaching resources and facilities to enhance learning.
  • Maintain accurate records and report on student performance and development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Religious Education.
  • Commitment to the Catholic ethos and values of the school.
  • Strong subject knowledge and ability to deliver engaging RE lessons.
  • Experience working with students of all abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching RE at both GCSE and A level.
  • Previous involvement in curriculum development or leadership roles.
  • Experience with Catholic education or pastoral care.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
