The Opportunity:

We are looking for a dedicated Teacher and Assistant Houseparent to join our team and support the daily life and well-being of students in our boarding house. This role combines teaching responsibilities with the pastoral care of students, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for all.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the day-to-day care and supervision of students in the boarding house
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students, promoting their emotional and social development
  • Assist with the smooth running and management of the boarding house
  • Deliver high-quality teaching across a range of subjects
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the well-being and academic progress of students
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of activities and events for students
  • Maintain a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for all students
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and welfare

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant teaching qualification and experience
  • Experience in a pastoral or residential care setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Preferred

  • Experience working in a boarding school or similar environment
  • Knowledge of child development and welfare practices
  • Experience with teaching a wide range of subjects
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when needed
