The Opportunity:
We are looking for a dedicated Teacher and Assistant Houseparent to join our team and support the daily life and well-being of students in our boarding house. This role combines teaching responsibilities with the pastoral care of students, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for all.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the day-to-day care and supervision of students in the boarding house
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students, promoting their emotional and social development
- Assist with the smooth running and management of the boarding house
- Deliver high-quality teaching across a range of subjects
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the well-being and academic progress of students
- Participate in the planning and delivery of activities and events for students
- Maintain a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for all students
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and welfare
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant teaching qualification and experience
- Experience in a pastoral or residential care setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexibly and manage multiple responsibilities
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Preferred
- Experience working in a boarding school or similar environment
- Knowledge of child development and welfare practices
- Experience with teaching a wide range of subjects
- Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when needed
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications
- 10 days of company sick pay (pro rata)
