Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging teaching across a range of full-time and part-time programmes.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess learning activities that promote essential skills such as literacy, numeracy, and digital capability.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and support the delivery of basic and key skills.
  • Maximise learner attendance, retention, and punctuality within assigned groups.
  • Ensure an outstanding learning experience for all students through innovative teaching methods.
  • Support the development of teaching materials that align with current educational initiatives.
  • Utilise IT tools effectively, particularly Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve the overall learning environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A recognised teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
  • Comprehensive subject knowledge in Education and Childcare.
  • Understanding of current educational initiatives and practices.
  • Intermediate IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with learner management systems and virtual learning environments.
  • Experience with student record systems and e-learning platforms.
  • Creative and innovative approach to developing teaching materials.
