The Opportunity:

As a Site Team Member, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety, security, and maintenance of the school premises. This is a vital position that supports the smooth running of the school and ensures a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and general upkeep of the school buildings and grounds.
  • Ensure all security procedures are followed, including access control and emergency protocols.
  • Assist with the management of key areas, including offices, classrooms, and common spaces.
  • Respond to maintenance issues promptly and coordinate with relevant teams as needed.
  • Support the school during events, inspections, and other activities as required.
  • Attend to security calls and be available for out-of-hours duties when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and security-related activities.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the school team to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in a similar role, preferably within an educational setting.
  • A good understanding of health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
  • The ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and out-of-hours shifts.
  • A valid driving license and the ability to travel between sites within the Trust as required.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience with keyholding and security systems.
  • Previous experience in property maintenance or facilities management.
  • A background in education or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
