Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver a personalised Life Skills curriculum tailored to individual needs.
• Teach practical skills such as cooking, money management, and road safety.
• Create a supportive, autism-friendly learning environment that promotes engagement.
• Implement strategies aligned with each pupil’s EHCP to support learning goals.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
• Provide regular feedback to senior leadership on pupil performance and development.
• Encourage positive behaviour and independence through structured learning and support.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Experience or strong interest in supporting pupils with Autism (ASC).
• Ability to design and deliver structured, engaging lessons for autistic learners.
• Passion for developing life skills and promoting independence.
• Confidence in differentiating learning to meet diverse abilities.

Preferred

• Experience in teaching functional life skills.
• Background in special education or autism support.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
