The Opportunity:

Join a vibrant Science department and make a meaningful impact on students' academic and personal development as a Science Teacher with a Physics Specialism. You will teach across KS3 to KS5 and contribute to science-themed enrichment programmes, working alongside a team of dedicated professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Physics, Chemistry, and Biology across Key Stages 3 to 5, with a focus on Physics.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that inspire and engage students, promoting a deep understanding of science.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of science-themed enrichment programmes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share resources and reduce workload, focusing on effective teaching practices.
  • Support students in achieving academic success and developing strong character.
  • Participate in professional development and research opportunities.
  • Work closely with Science technicians to ensure a safe and well-equipped learning environment.
  • Engage in continuous improvement of teaching methods and curriculum content.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a strong background in Physics.
  • Experience teaching Science at Key Stages 3 to 5.
  • Commitment to the school’s ethos and values.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to enrichment programmes.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Background in curriculum development or educational research.
  • Experience with early career teacher support or mentorship.
