The Opportunity:
As an SEN Maths Teacher, you will lead and shape Mathematics teaching across the school, ensuring an engaging and inclusive curriculum for all learners. This role is ideal for a Maths specialist with a passion for curriculum leadership and improving outcomes for students with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee Mathematics teaching and learning across the school
- Monitor pupil progress and implement targeted interventions to raise attainment
- Design and develop an engaging, inclusive Maths curriculum
- Support and coach colleagues to deliver high-quality teaching
- Promote high standards, ambition, and a positive attitude towards Maths
- Contribute to school improvement planning, evaluation, and review
- Develop and implement subject action plans aligned with whole-school priorities
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Mathematics (or related subject)
- Experience teaching Maths across multiple key stages
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
- A commitment to inclusive education and supporting pupils with SEN
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum leadership or subject lead roles
- Knowledge of evidence-based teaching strategies for SEN learners
- Experience with autism-specific teaching approaches
