The Opportunity:

As a Lower School Class Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping young minds and supporting their academic and personal growth. This position requires a passionate educator who can deliver creative and engaging lessons aligned with the Primary National Curriculum. You will be a key figure in fostering a positive and inclusive classroom culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, creative teaching across core and additional subjects in line with the Primary National Curriculum.
  • Support the academic and pastoral development of pupils within your class.
  • Establish and maintain strong, supportive relationships with pupils, parents, and the wider school community.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Key Stage and the Head of Lower School to ensure the effective delivery of the curriculum.
  • Develop and implement innovative and engaging learning activities that promote independence, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Participate in school events, enrichment activities, and extracurricular programs.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the school by maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support individual development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in primary education.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum and its application.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to teach a wide range of subjects across the primary age range.
  • Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school setting with a strong focus on academic achievement and enrichment.
  • Familiarity with the Stowe Group’s educational philosophy and values.
  • Experience with the Pre-Senior Baccalaureate (PSB) framework.
