The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of the curriculum and assist in planning and implementing engaging learning activities.
  • Help maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for children.
  • Assist in the supervision and care of children during meals, play, and other activities.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to support the development and well-being of children.
  • Promote positive behavior and encourage social and emotional development.
  • Keep accurate records of children’s progress and communicate regularly with parents and carers.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to ensure continuous professional development.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to child safety and well-being.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when needed.
  • Patience, creativity, and a positive, enthusiastic attitude.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of early years curricula and child development.
  • Experience with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • First aid and emergency care training.
