The Opportunity:
As a Nursery Teaching Assistant, you will support the daily routine and help create engaging activities that foster learning and development in young children. This role is ideal for someone passionate about early childhood education and committed to creating a safe, nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of the curriculum and assist in planning and delivering engaging learning activities.
- Help maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for children.
- Work closely with the teaching team to support individual learning needs and promote positive behaviour.
- Assist with the supervision and care of children during all aspects of the school day.
- Encourage creativity, independence, and social development through play and structured activities.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and communicate regularly with parents and staff.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to ensure continuous professional development.
- Promote the school's values, including equality, diversity, and inclusion, in all interactions.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with children.
- Ability to work as part of a team and support the school’s mission and values.
- Basic understanding of early years education and child development.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a school or educational setting.
- Experience with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Experience with inclusive practices and supporting children with diverse needs.
