The Opportunity:

As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and enjoyment of pupils during lunchtime. This is an essential position that supports young children in developing positive social skills and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment during their break.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise pupils during lunch and playtimes in the dining hall and playground
  • Encourage good table manners and positive social interactions
  • Assist younger children with their meals and ensure a clean and safe dining environment
  • Promote and maintain positive behaviour and a respectful atmosphere
  • Support the wellbeing and safety of all pupils during lunch and break times
  • Act as a positive role model and provide guidance when needed
  • Ensure all areas are kept tidy and hazards are promptly addressed
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure consistent support for pupils

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A caring and enthusiastic approach to working with young children
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with children in a school or care setting
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in busy and sometimes challenging situations
  • Commitment to promoting positive behaviour and a safe environment

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a school or early years setting
  • Knowledge of child development and behaviour management
  • Experience with supporting children with special educational needs
  • Flexibility and willingness to work term-time only, 3 days per week
