The Opportunity:

As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of students during lunchtime. This is a part-time, temporary position offering a chance to contribute to a positive and dynamic school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise students during lunchtime in the dining room, playground, and throughout the academy premises.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students during unstructured times.
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage respectful interactions among students.
  • Support the school’s mission by fostering a happy and inclusive environment.
  • Collaborate with staff to maintain a safe and orderly atmosphere.
  • Monitor and report any incidents or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with the smooth running of lunchtime activities and transitions.
  • Encourage students to participate in positive, engaging activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with children in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain discipline and manage student behaviour effectively.
  • Commitment to student safety and wellbeing.
  • Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work flexible hours.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or pastoral role.
  • Knowledge of child development and behaviour management.
  • Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to support the needs of the school and students.
