Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching staff in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities.
  • Assist pupils in accessing learning and provide individualised support where needed.
  • Help maintain a positive and structured learning environment.
  • Work closely with teachers to ensure the needs of all students are met.
  • Contribute to the smooth running of the classroom and support the overall educational objectives.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with teaching staff.
  • Encourage student engagement and promote a culture of respect and achievement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working in a school or educational setting, preferably as a Teaching Assistant.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to supporting student learning and development.
  • Flexibility to work term time only and part time hours.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a primary school setting.
  • Knowledge of KS2 curriculum and teaching methods.
  • Experience with supporting students with additional needs.
  • Confidence in working with children and parents.
