The Opportunity:
We are seeking a proactive and multi-skilled Maintenance Operative to support the school’s estate and Sports Club. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic environment, ensuring all facilities are maintained to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair building systems, including electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment.
- Support the Sports Club with dedicated maintenance tasks for up to 15 hours per week.
- Carry out routine inspections and maintenance to ensure the safety and efficiency of all facilities.
- Collaborate with the Facilities Team to address maintenance issues promptly and effectively.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across the school estate.
- Assist with the maintenance of plant systems, including BMS and pool plant.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance activities and work completed.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a maintenance role, preferably within a school or similar environment.
- Practical skills in electrical, mechanical, or building trades.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for site-based work.
Preferred
- Experience with plant systems such as HVAC, BMS, and pool plant.
- Knowledge of building management systems.
- Experience in a school or educational setting.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
