Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Economics department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning
  • Deliver Economics lessons to students at GCSE and A Level, including preparation for university entrance assessments
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and resources
  • Support the professional development of departmental colleagues
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive department culture
  • Promote the school's values of diversity, inclusion, and social awareness
  • Contribute to the co-curriculum and wider school community
  • Ensure the well-being and safeguarding of all students

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Excellent subject knowledge in Economics
  • Experience teaching Economics at A Level and GCSE
  • A passion for Economics and a commitment to student success
  • Strong leadership and team-working skills
  • Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and safeguarding
  • A proven ability to motivate and inspire students

Preferred

  • Experience in a leadership role within a school department
  • Experience with university entrance preparation
  • Knowledge of sustainable development and social awareness
  • Experience with inclusive education practices
