Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Economics department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning
- Deliver Economics lessons to students at GCSE and A Level, including preparation for university entrance assessments
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and resources
- Support the professional development of departmental colleagues
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive department culture
- Promote the school's values of diversity, inclusion, and social awareness
- Contribute to the co-curriculum and wider school community
- Ensure the well-being and safeguarding of all students
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Excellent subject knowledge in Economics
- Experience teaching Economics at A Level and GCSE
- A passion for Economics and a commitment to student success
- Strong leadership and team-working skills
- Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and safeguarding
- A proven ability to motivate and inspire students
Preferred
- Experience in a leadership role within a school department
- Experience with university entrance preparation
- Knowledge of sustainable development and social awareness
- Experience with inclusive education practices
