The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation of our school sites. This role is essential in maintaining a safe, secure, and well-maintained environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all maintenance, repairs, and refurbishments are completed to a high standard across all school sites.
  • Carry out routine health and safety tasks, including fire alarm checks, legionella management, and compliance requirements.
  • Support the Premises and Compliance Manager in implementing preventative maintenance and recording all activities.
  • Maintain grounds and buildings to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for students and staff.
  • Liaise effectively with staff at all levels to ensure smooth operations and compliance with policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in building maintenance, repairs, and grounds maintenance.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and legislation.
  • Computer literacy with the ability to use a CAFM system.
  • Flexibility and sensitivity to the needs of students with complex needs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Health and safety qualification.
  • Experience in electrics, plumbing, or construction.
  • Experience working in a school or special needs environment.
