The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly motivated Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation of our school sites. This role is essential in maintaining a safe, secure, and well-maintained environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all maintenance, repairs, and refurbishments are completed to a high standard across all school sites.
- Carry out routine health and safety tasks, including fire alarm checks, legionella management, and compliance requirements.
- Support the Premises and Compliance Manager in implementing preventative maintenance and recording all activities.
- Maintain grounds and buildings to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for students and staff.
- Liaise effectively with staff at all levels to ensure smooth operations and compliance with policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in building maintenance, repairs, and grounds maintenance.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and legislation.
- Computer literacy with the ability to use a CAFM system.
- Flexibility and sensitivity to the needs of students with complex needs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
- Health and safety qualification.
- Experience in electrics, plumbing, or construction.
- Experience working in a school or special needs environment.
