The Opportunity:
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and wellbeing of young children. You will be a key person to a group of children and help create a stimulating and nurturing learning environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and wellbeing of children aged 2 to 5 years.
- Provide fun and stimulating experiences that encourage independence and child-initiated learning.
- Assist in maintaining a safe, positive, and engaging environment for children.
- Work closely with the Nursery team to support the social, intellectual, physical, and emotional growth of children.
- Cover break, lunch, and after-school duties as required.
- Assist with supervising Breakfast Club and other school activities.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with parents and carers.
- Ensure all activities and routines follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) guidelines.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Level 3 qualification or above in a relevant field.
- Previous experience working with preschool children in an EYFS setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and take responsibility for a group of children.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or supporting early years activities.
- Knowledge of child development and learning theories.
- Experience with curriculum planning and delivery.
- Flexibility to work across different roles and responsibilities within the school.
