The Opportunity:

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and wellbeing of young children. You will be a key person to a group of children and help create a stimulating and nurturing learning environment. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the early years of a child's education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and wellbeing of children aged 2 to 5 years.
  • Provide fun and stimulating experiences that encourage independence and child-initiated learning.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe, positive, and engaging environment for children.
  • Work closely with the Nursery team to support the social, intellectual, physical, and emotional growth of children.
  • Cover break, lunch, and after-school duties as required.
  • Assist with supervising Breakfast Club and other school activities.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with parents and carers.
  • Ensure all activities and routines follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Level 3 qualification or above in a relevant field.
  • Previous experience working with preschool children in an EYFS setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take responsibility for a group of children.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or supporting early years activities.
  • Knowledge of child development and learning theories.
  • Experience with curriculum planning and delivery.
  • Flexibility to work across different roles and responsibilities within the school.
