The Opportunity:

A Mathematics Teacher is needed to join a supportive and growing school, teaching across Key Stages 3–4 with the potential to extend to Key Stage 5. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact in a dynamic and innovative learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Mathematics instruction across Key Stages 3–4, with potential for Key Stage 5.
  • Foster a supportive and inquiry-based learning environment that encourages student engagement and academic achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the Alpha Schools Group to share best practice and enhance teaching methods.
  • Support students in developing mathematical skills and confidence through differentiated instruction.
  • Participate in curriculum development and contribute to the school’s mission of academic excellence.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
  • Engage in professional development and training opportunities offered by the school and Alpha Schools Group.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and pastoral support.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred, though not essential.
  • Experience in teaching Mathematics at Key Stages 3–4.
  • Commitment to inquiry-based learning and student-centered teaching methods.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with the IB Middle Years Programme or Diploma Programme.
  • Ability to teach additional subjects such as Science.
  • Experience in a small class setting (maximum 14 students).
  • Demonstrated ability to support student wellbeing and personal development.
